Contact
We answer in English and French, usually within two working days. Telling us your iPhone model, your iOS version and the app version — it is at the bottom of Curioo’s settings — gets you a useful answer on the first reply.
Billing and subscriptions
Cancel Curioo Premium. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Curioo and turn off renewal — at least 24 hours before the period ends. Shortcut: manage my subscriptions. You keep Premium until the period you paid for runs out, and deleting the app does not cancel anything.
Cancel during the free trial. Same steps. Cancel before the trial ends and you are never charged.
Restore a purchase. New phone, or reinstalled the app? Open the Premium screen in Curioo and tap “Restore purchases”, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it on. If it still does not come back, email us with the Apple receipt.
Refunds. Apple handles all payments, so refunds go through reportaproblem.apple.com. Tell us what went wrong anyway — it usually means something is broken on our side.
Notifications and widgets
- The daily reminder never arrives. Check that notifications are allowed for Curioo in Settings, then open the app once — the reminder is scheduled locally and needs one launch to re-arm after an update or a restart.
- The widget is blank or stale. Open the app once to refresh the shared data, then remove and re-add the widget. iOS decides how often widgets refresh, so a few minutes of delay is normal.
- Changing the reminder time. In the app, go to Settings then Daily reminder, and pick any hour you like.
Progress, streaks and data
Your progress is stored on your device, not on a server. That is deliberate — it is why Curioo needs no account — but it has one consequence: uninstalling the app erases your streak, XP and favourites, and we have no backup to restore from. Your Premium subscription is unaffected and comes back with “Restore purchases”.
Lost a streak to a genuine bug rather than a missed day? Write to us with the date and we will look at it.
Content and corrections
Etymology is argued over, and a few of our origin stories will be contested by someone who knows more than us. If you think an expression, a definition, a translation or an origin is wrong, send it over with a source — corrections ship in the next content update, and this is the single most useful email you can send us.
Accessibility
If something is unusable with the settings you rely on, tell us what and on which screen — that is treated as a bug, not a feature request.
